We would like to thank our newest Signers - Aaron Nulf, Michelle Boden, Chris Boden, and Timothy Richardson!

There are nearly one million people in jail in the United States for non-violent activities related to the use, possession, cultivation, transportation or sale of marijuana. The purpose of this site is to make available a place for everyone who supports the idea of Nojailforpot to sign his or her name, and make it proudly public for everyone to see. The people below have taken the significant step of putting their names to this important declaration, for all the country to see.

This is a great idea. The movement to reform this nation's destructive drug policies needs initiatives like this. Good work!

legalize it

Government policies are foolish because legal marijuana would eliminate the black market and provide tax revenue.

The government's job is to protect its citizens from others, not to protect them from themselves.

Joshua Ungerleider
Lakewood, NJ 08701

There is nothing in the constitution that gives the federal government the authority to make marijuana illegal. Medical and even recreational use of this drug in no way affects the rights of innocent bystanders. To prevent somebody from doing something that affects nobody else is plain tyranny.

James Van Auken
Deptford, NJ 08096

I believe that all people should have the liberty to do what they please with marijuana. I seriously think that i does no harm whatsoever to a persons behaviors. I KNOW through experience that it may make you hungry and/or tired, but it has made no difference in the way i live. Many say that it makes you "STUPID"; this is untrue and I am offended by this stereotype. I am an honors student and I still make the grade. Sincerely, Mr. James Van Auken
