There are nearly one million people in jail in the United States for non-violent activities related to the use, possession, cultivation, transportation or sale of marijuana. The purpose of this site is to make available a place for everyone who supports the idea of Nojailforpot to sign his or her name, and make it proudly public for everyone to see. The people below have taken the significant step of putting their names to this important declaration, for all the country to see.

BRAVO! It's time to say, "Enough of the hypocrisy!" This society is not a drug free society...how dare the powers that be feign moral superiority over those who choose marijuana...This while they pop their Prozac, down their Valium and guzzle their cocktails. Prescription drugs can be found for almost every ailment known to mankind.....many of which are synthetic and dangerous to the system. I find it hard to believe that the government of this "open-minded" and "peace-loving" country hold those who use marijuana as a treatment for pain, nausea or just plain stress relief up to the rest of society as criminal! Yet, they do...this natural herb which has been used for how many eons is an illegal substance. Why is that? There is no answer for this question. Marijuana should be decriminalized....that's all there is to it! I'll support this cause and will spread the word! Keep up the good work! Ms. Donna Hardwick

I feel that marijuana is the least of our worries when you begin to look at the drugs that are available. More people are killed from alcohol use than marijuana by far. I have never known of anyone to be violent while intoxicated by marijuana, but have known many to be while on alcohol. Marijuana is a natural substance that has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years and it is ridiculous that people are actually jailed for it. I as a registered dental assistant have more that a few patients that are H.I.V. positive or have full blown aids, and the use of marijuana is the only way thay can gain enough appetite to eat. I also find it ludicrous that someone can do six years in prison for pot, but a rapist is out in two. Disgusting. Abhorent.

I was just making a point with my husband earlier today regarding the whole alcohol thing. Really, how often do you see someone smoke themselves to death yet youth are dying every day from alcohol poisoning and driving reckless. Honestly its ridiculous. I lost so many loved ones and known so many other lives that have been taken from this. Especially dealing with the viscous mind games of an alcoholic weed has done less damage by far.

I think that this is very good. There is nothing wrong with taking a couple of hits here and there. They need to pay attention to the ones out there raping and killing. Pot Smokers Rule!

IF smoking pot is all you worry about then get a life. I would think our government would be all for it, hell bush is! And he is the people's choice. Bring wants it give it up!
