There are nearly one million people in jail in the United States for non-violent activities related to the use, possession, cultivation, transportation or sale of marijuana. The purpose of this site is to make available a place for everyone who supports the idea of Nojailforpot to sign his or her name, and make it proudly public for everyone to see. The people below have taken the significant step of putting their names to this important declaration, for all the country to see.

weed and alcoholare in the same general categorythey make you high. so why is one legal and the other is not? rather than spending large quantities of taxpayer money on trying to supress this comparitively mild intoxicant, make it legal and control quality, collect additional taxes into the national treasury and take its sale, transportation and distribution out of the hands of organized crime. not to mentionthe millions savedin our judicial system.

i think that weed should be legal and i also think that people should quit kalling it medical marijuana because weed is weed its the same thing that is on the streets, you should be able to use it for personal reasons, medical reasons hell any reason you would like it should be in the constitution, freedom of speech, freedom to smoke, and then what ever else it says not uneducated about what the constitution says just dont want to type something you already know.Smoke weed and live life we are in afukingmerica. and all of those damn politicans and greedy as republicans be getting high all the damn time trying to put theyselves above every body else, no let the truth be told and share the love!! and i have the freedom of speech to say how i feel and this is whats up! legalize marijuana keep our black community from going into the system make a future for our black men to have a career and not a record.

I think that the legalization of pot wouldnt be a bad thing because honestly, have you ever met an angry pot smoker? really? in my opinion pot is a part of nature and should ultimately be treated like it. not like its some kind of poision! i think that it is wrong to throw people in jail for something as minor as pot. i completely support the idea to stop jailing people for this so called "crime"!
